Trilateral Cooperation Agreement

Today, as part of the Student Hockey Challenge, the Student Hockey League, the European University Hockey Association (EUHA) and the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) have signed the Cooperation Agreement.

The Director of the Russian Student Hockey League Anton Khramtsev, the President of the American Collegiate Hockey Association Paul Hebert and the President of the European University Hockey League Jaroslav Straka were the ones who signed the Agreement.Maxim Urazov, Director General of ANO “Directorate Krasnoyarsk 2019”, welcomed the guests and noted that this Agreement is a big step towards the successful development of the student sports, in particular, Ice Hockey, which contributes to strengthening the links between the countries.

Ice Hockey is traditionally the most popular sport in Russia, while Krasnoyarsk, in the context of the upcoming Winter Universiade 2019, becomes the centre of the student sports. That is why it is symbolic to have such a historic event in the host city of the upcoming Winter Universiade 2019. A new stage of the international cooperation in the sphere of student hockey has started today,“ said Anton Khramtsev.“The signing of the trilateral Cooperation Agreement is a key component of the leagues‘ partnership. We have been cooperating with the European University Hockey League since 2014. As for the Student Hockey League, together we have already held two major events over the past year. If we continue our fruitful cooperation, we will be able to achieve new results,” said Paul Hebert. „Further still, I believe that the city is definitely ready for the Winter Universiade 2019. The level of security is one of the highest of what we have seen, and the venues constructed for the Games are absolutely amazing.““The Agreement gives us new opportunities in the field of the student hockey.  In addition to playing ice hockey, we will have the opportunity to participate in various student exchange programmes that will give the students a chance to study at universities in Europe, the United States and Russia under joint programmes,“ said Jaroslav Straka.

The trilateral Cooperation Agreement will allow the leagues to regularly hold such international competitions, as Student Hockey Challenge and World Cup of College Hockey, which annually unite the strongest student teams from different countries. Additionally, the Agreement implies cooperation in the information sphere.
