Look at EUHL quarterfinals

The quarter-final series between the University Spartacus Košice and Sapientia U23 started better for players of the Slovak team with a narrow 5:4 win on the home ice.

On the second day, Sapientia U23 won 1:7 in the rematch. At the end, the Sapientia U23 team enjoyed advancing to the semi-finals. The second quarterfinals pair was Philosophers Nitra and UHT Sabers Oświęcim.

The favorite before this series was the university team from Oświęcim. There were no surprises in the first match and the Polish team won by 5:2. In the second game, Oświęcim was leading by 2:0, later by 3:1, but Philosophers Nitra managed to tie the game, take it to overtime, and to win it by 3:4. In the decisive third game on the opponent’s ice, the home team of Nitra won by 4:0 and secured the place in the semi-finals.
