Subject: Walkover of the EUHL game SABERS Oświęcim – UMB Banská Bystrica (28th October 2024)

Based on the CONTRACT ON PARTICIPATION IN THE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY HOCKEY LEAGUE 2024/2025 and EUHL MANUAL 2024/2025.

Due to failure of two ice-cleaning machines, a large hole was created on the ice rink (0.2 m wide, 3.0 m long and puck deep). This threatened the safety of players and referees. Both teams did not want to continue the game for fear of their health, so the match was ended after 40 minutes of the game.

The home team did not provide a regular ice surface and the game has been ended by the referee Michal BACA.

EUHA Sports and Technical Committee (STC)

decided as follows:

STC awards the walkover in the game SABERS Oświęcim – UMB Banská Bystrica with a result of 0:5 in favor of the UMB Banská Bystrica team, with the goal difference (UMB +5, SABERS -5) counted in the regular-season table. Also, 3 points are counted in the EUHL 2024/2025 regular-season table for the UMB Banská Bystrica team.
