From November 28 to 30, 2025, the prestigious DEAC Cup took place in Debrecen, Hungary. Over the course of three days, the tournament delivered an unforgettable sports atmosphere, dramatic moments, and displays of top-level hockey. The event attracted teams from several European countries and reaffirmed its reputation as a dynamic tournament full of passion, competitiveness, and emotion.
Friday: Opening Doubleheader Brings Tense Battles
The tournament kicked off on Friday with an exciting doubleheader. In the opening match, the Romanian team Sapientia U23 delivered a strong performance, defeating the Polish Sabers in a closely contested 4–3 game.
In the second match of the day, the home team DEAC faced Polish side Opole United. Despite their efforts, the hosts were unable to secure a favorable result, as Opole United confirmed its high ambitions with a convincing 5–2 victory.
Saturday: On-Ice Drama and Continued Dominance of Opole United
The second day of the tournament continued at the same pace, with tough and highly competitive matchups dominated mainly by the Polish teams.
In the first Saturday game, DEAC fell 4–5 to Sabers, who showcased impressive skill and determination, earning a well-deserved but narrow win.
The second match of the day brought another triumph for Opole United, which maintained its perfect record by defeating Sapientia U23 with a score of 4–1.
Sunday: Polish Derby and a Winning Farewell for the Romanians
The final day featured the much-anticipated Polish derby between the previously unbeaten Opole United and Sabers. Sabers delivered an excellent performance and ended Opole’s winning streak with a 6–3 victory.
In the last match of the tournament, Sapientia U23 secured a successful farewell, defeating the home team DEAC 4–1.
